On January 27, 2026, the United Nations marked the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust in the General Assembly Hall, with survivors and their families present.
In his tenth Holocaust Remembrance Day address, Secretary-General António Guterres honored the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis, along with Roma and Sinti, people with disabilities, LGBTIQ+ people and others persecuted by the Nazi regime, and warned that antisemitism is rising around the world.
