The FBI’s hate crime statistics for 2025 recorded 1,528 anti-Jewish hate crime incidents, 63% of the 2,408 religion-based hate crimes reported nationwide, according to ADL’s analysis of the data.

The total was 21.2% lower than the record 1,938 incidents of 2024, but it was still the third-highest year on record. Jewish Americans are about 2% of the U.S. population, yet anti-Jewish incidents made up 14% of all reported hate crimes.

The offenses included three murders, 50 aggravated assaults, 112 simple assaults, 505 acts of intimidation and 920 incidents of vandalism or property destruction.

“Behind every one of these numbers is a person who was targeted simply for being Jewish.”

Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO

“Hate crimes are deeply personal, harmful, and traumatizing, not only for the individual targeted, but for the entire community.”

Carla Hill, ADL Vice President

ADL is urging passage of the bipartisan Improved Reporting to Prevent Hate Act, which would require law enforcement agencies to report hate crime data.
