The Colorado Hebrew Chorale announced that it would premiere “Zeh HaYom” (“This Is the Day”), a song composed by Holocaust survivor Oscar “Osi” Sladek, at the Hebrew Educational Alliance’s annual Yom HaShoah observance in Denver.

“The Colorado Hebrew Chorale (CHC) is honored to premiere Zeh HaYom (“This is the day”), composed by local survivor Oscar “Osi” Sladek and arranged for chorus and piano by CHC pianist Travis Yamamoto.”

The observance was scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hebrew Educational Alliance, 3600 South Ivanhoe Street in Denver. This year’s theme was “The Future of Holocaust Education,” with candle-lighting in memory of the Six Million, music, readings and a presentation by the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center.
